16-inch MacBook Pro Not Charging When The Laptop Is Shutdown
Apple's brand new 16-inch MacBook Pro is an incredibly powerful laptop, not to mention very expensive. It isn't the perfect laptop, only when you lot're paying $two,000 for a laptop, y'all'd expect that the basic functions would work, such as charging the laptop, correct? Unfortunately, some users are experiencing some weird issues with it.
Co-ordinate to several posts on Reddit, information technology appears that some users are discovering that when their laptops are shutdown, the laptop is unable to charge. It is a very specific scenario so non all users might experience it. Basically, if your laptop is unplugged and yous shutdown and then plug in the MagSafe charger, it will make a ping sound and the connector's LED will flash in a continuous loop and won't charge the laptop.
This isn't an outcome if your laptop has been continuously plugged in and if your bombardment is in a higher place 80%, so like we said, it's a very specific scenario in society to replicate this issue. This besides but seems to affect the 16-inch MacBook Pro when using the 140W charging brick that comes with the laptop, but interestingly plenty, if you use USB-C to charge it, then this isn't an issue.
Also, if y'all plug in the MagSafe charger before you shutdown, this won't be a problem either, then those are temporary workarounds. Some users claim to accept taken the laptop to the Apple tree Store and have been told that Apple is aware and is investigating the trouble, while some were offered replacements.
